4 Seasons Training Method
A big “Hello” to anyone out there who is ready to take control of their life and improve Mind, Body and Spirit alike. My name is Elin Kanchev and I am a fitness professional with over 20 years of experience. I want to use this introductory post to let you take a peek at my “Four Seasons Training Method” philosophy. Because for me it’s not just a methodology – it’s something that defines my entire view of life!
What is 4STM?
The only constant in life is change. Everything in life is built up on cycles. Each cycle is defined by its own distinctive features and carries along different meaning and power. Just like the periodization in training, or the Olympic cycle. Just like the Four Seasons.
Esen (autumn) is a season of Preparation.
Zima (winter) is the time when we recharge.
Prolet (spring) brings along Bloom.
And Lyato (summer) is the period of Growth.
Nature “invented” a way to balance itself and achieve absolute harmony, so why shouldn’t we take advantage of the same? Training in perfectly defined cycles not only prevents injuries but lets you steadily get acquainted with your body and mind better. Because only after when we achieve Control over ourselves, we can think about Growth!
Why 4STM?

In 4STM we do not aim to reinvent the wheel – our mission is to show you how to use it properly in a systematic way, so you can take most advantage of its purpose. Instead of confusing you with an endless variety of random training schedules and health tips, we like to follow a more focused approach which is heavily oriented towards teaching our clients on how to train themselves. What the competition considers as “losing business” is what we believe to be “the independent way” – the Redefined Way. And while we believe in universal rules of training, we tailor those rules according to each client’s goals, needs and condition.
Essential benefit of 4STM is that it helps lessen the monotony of a normal training regimen by changing things and keep training interesting.
This is it Friends, it is as simple as that! In the next series of articles we will try to share our experience on training not just the Body, but the Mind and Spirit too. We will show you how to distribute your exercises into phases for maximum efficiency and peak form.
